I found the basis of Ridgeway Manor intriguing, but I ran into formatting problems. Specifically, dialogue. There will be a huge paragraph of dialogue between two, maybe three people and there is no paragraphing. There is no hint that another person is talking and it got confusing; also many spelling errors. If the author would download the book and fix these problems, then upload it again, I'm sure the book would do better.
There is one other point a potential reader needs to be aware of and that is sexual violence in the book, some is disturbing. I believe the author wanted to communicate how terrible a few of the characters were, but this was explicit, and as I said, pretty disturbing. I've been thinking of reading another of her books, but the thought of coming across this level of explicitness again will make me look for a read elsewhere.

Ridgeway Manor eBook Michelle Harl Ronica Haynes Robert Thrash Reviews

I loved this book and thought it deserved a few words of praise. I really could not put the book down, it has suspense, twists and turns. Once you get started you can't put it down!
This was a good read with a good story line however it could be more if it were re-edited and corrected. At times it felt like a good attempt written by a teenage girl with many cliched observations and asides which detract from the flow. The story has great potential but left me feeling like I had read a Mills and Boone romance.
The spelling mistakes are disconcerting and should be fixed e.g. there instead of their.
Many of the cliched asides and inaccurate use of language require correction e.g. crocodile tears which do not mean that at all within the context.
Michelle Harl has one of the most unique writing styles I've ever read. This book was engaging and spine chilling!!! A must read for any horror fan!
There are a number of editing errors in the book but the story is easy enough to read with a bit of the ghostly and ghastly added in. More than just the usual romance
I tried, but couldn't read this book. The formatting was terrible, with long paragraphs and the dialog buried without the normal paragraphing. It was too distracting and I couldn't get more than several pages into the story. Maybe if the formatting was fixed, I would give it another try. Can't comment on the story line, so I can't say whether the effort to read this book is worth it.
